How to Play

You get six guesses to identify the bird of the day. If you guess incorrectly, but your guess shares the order, family, or genus (taxonomic rank) with the species of the day, the tiles below will turn green. After three guesses, hints are offered. Good luck!

New Species are now better aligned to regions based on recent, non-exotic observations. See here for an explanation on how eBird differentiates locally introduced species from native species.
